Happy Sweetest Day

My post this week has taken a different turn from what I originally planned. We're taking a break from the  weekly editorial posts I know many of you have enjoyed. I've been taking copious amount of notes. No worries, AJ will be back on October 22 with a Passive v Active post.

I learned today (Friday) a family member has been taken seriously ill. Please send your thoughts and prayers to my brother-in-law. He and his family can really use the extra boost right now.

On a lighter note, I am giving away another prize package. A choice of either of my books and a mug full of goodies. Oh right. Leave a comment with your favorite romantic memory. If you're like me, you rarely ever remember Sweetest Day. *chuckles*

Life is short people. Make sure you tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. Hey wait! It's Sweetest Day. You would think as a romance writer I would remember this. So definitely make sure you tell your Sweetie how much he or she is loved.

Until next time indulge your inner romantic.

Holding your loved one in the light--hope all goes well.

Now on the other note, my favorite romantic memory is when my husband (boyfriend at the time) was in the middle of a sentence and turned around and stared at me for a minute--then said:
"God, you are beautiful."
I melted.

Twenty years later, he still makes me melt. :)

please enter me in the giveaway.

My most romantic moment was on my sixth weding anniversary. My late-husband gave me seven roses...six red buds for the years we had been married and a white bud for the a love would be forever. After all these years, that is still my most precious memory.

Just reading that took my breath away.

This might sound silly, but when we renewed our vows a few years ago, my hubby proposed to me again. I'd just helped clean the banquet hall from my sister's wedding that morning, before church. She got married the day before, So when he called me to the front of the church I figured it was to help pass out gifts or something.
When he dropped to bended knee and presented me with another engagement ring (mine was lost ages ago) I cried like a baby. Couldn't see the ring I was crying so hard. :-)

Sending healing energy & love & prayers to your loved one and family.

Lovely post W.Lynn. My most romantic moment was when my husband proposed...we were young (18) walked around an elementary school yard talking, and then he stopped on the way out. He stood on one of the telephone poles laying along the parking lot, which made him eye-level with me (I'm about 5 inches taller than my husband) and asked me to marry him. He was so serious and it took me a moment to catch up to his seriousness. I loved that his gaze met mine and it warmed me through and through...and then we both lost it, laughing like the crazy silly kids we were.
It has always been my favorite moment...and it always makes me smile.
