In the Hot Box with Brock Logan

Hi All. I had the opportunity to interview one of my newest characters, Brockridge Logan, from Winter’s Thaw coming Dec. 7 from Evernight Publishing. He asked me to meet him at his place of employment, the U.S. Marshal office. I’m not a big fan of government building. I can’t bring my cell phone inside and these places are so poorly lit I’m literally blind for the first five minutes after I enter. The security guard got a little snippy with me, until I showed him my cane.
Anyway I’m having a little trouble locating Deputy Logan at the moment. *peers around the large waiting area* An official seal is on the aged tiled floor and metal detectors cover the entrances. As I stand trying to collect my bearing and give my eyes time to adjust two men approach.
“W. Lynn Chantale?” One says. He stands in the only available light, so I can’t see his face.
“Uh, yeah.”
“You got identification.”
I reach in my pocket for my license and both move a hand to their hip. “Relax, you asked for ID and I’m trying to comply.” Once my identity has been verified yet again, the goon squad escorts me to a windowless room. Before I can blink they have me handcuffed to a chair.
“Really? I usually get names and dinner before the relationship goes to kink.” Great. Just great. This is what I get for creating big bad government characters. I lift my arm, setting the chains to rattling. “Seriously is this necessary?”
“They stay on until I determine if you’re a threat.”
Wait. I know that voice. The two men exit the room. The door snapping shut has a ring of finality to it. Clothing rustles and a man...well muscled man emerges from the shadows. I’m such a sucker for a man in a suit and his is tailored to accentuate all his assets.
“A threat. Pu-leeze,” I scoff. “Half the time I run into the walls in my own hallway. Who have I allegedly threatened, Brock?”
“Michaela Winters.”
I sit back in my chair, the cold metal resting against the back of my hand. “Is this because you were dangling over a balcony?”
He crosses his arms. I try not to sigh in appreciation when the fabric moves with him.
I arch a brow. “So you’re mad?”
“These are very serious allegations, W. Lynn.”
I shrug. “That’s fine, but the longer you keep me here, the longer you dangle over a balcony, or get shot at, or maybe never find Michaela.” I lean forward and look him in the eye. “Remember how long it took to get you two together the first time?”
He nods, a speculative gleam in his honey-brown eyes.
“I can delete that whole scene or better yet not write the ending at all.”
He grabs the chair across from me, flips it around and sits folding his arms on the metal back. “If that’s the case, then I’ll just keep you here, until you see things my way.” A long pregnant silence fills the room.
Each tick of the clock on the wall is audible. Faint voices drift through the door as footsteps shuffle past. Sweat trickles between my shoulder blades. Did I mention it was hot in here too? I resist squirming in my chair beneath his scrutiny. I will not be bullied.
The chair squeaks as he stands. The metal legs scrape against the cement floor as he returns it to its correct position. “Perhaps some time alone will help sway you.” He crosses the room.
“Could I at least get a bottle of water while I wait?” I holler as he exits and the door closes. I glance at the shackles on my wrists. I really need to stop writing characters with handcuffs.

Blurb:
The holidays can be murder. Someone is out to kill Michaela Winters, but she has more important things to worry about, arguing with her husband and when to tell him he’s going to be a father come to mind.
Brockridge Logan realizes the mistake he’s made and he’s willing to make amends. His solution is to whisk her away to their cabin up north where he can seduce and keep her safe.
When an ice storm closes the roads and traps them in the middle of nowhere for the duration of the holidays. A marriage will be mended, but will it be too late with a killer on the loose.

Excerpt:
“Are you sure we’re stuck here?” This was not the way she envisioned spending her two weeks away from court. Her last case had been grueling and she’d only won on a technicality, but knowing she had time to recharge before she went back to defending the sometimes guilty and unjustly accused innocent eased the sting of the almost loss. Having to spend the next several days with Brock Logan...well she’d rather be in contempt of court.
Warmth enveloped her back. She stiffened. When had he moved? The crisp scent of his soap and masculinity teased her senses. She bit her lip against the moan of pleasure. One of the things she always liked about him was he didn’t wear cologne just the natural musk God gifted him.
Now he’d trapped her between the heat of his hard body and a cold window, her scooped-neck tee insufficient barrier to both. She closed her eyes as he shifted and his arm circled her waist. Desire simmered in her veins and dampened her panties.
“You heard the officer. The roads are closed,” he murmured near her ear.
His breath tickled the delicate shell, sending shivers of want to her nipples. They puckered painfully beneath her shirt. She tried to move closer to the window, only he held her more firmly against his unyielding frame.
“That doesn’t mean you should invade my personal space.”
He chuckled. The low sound wrapped around her like warm fudge. She wanted nothing more than to hear him laugh in the confines of a bedroom while they were both naked and sweaty. She tamped down on the thought, but his solid physique at her back and the bulge wedged against her buttocks conjured all sorts of naughty images.
His lips feathered over the exposed skin just below her ear. Need ignited and blazed a fiery path from tit to clit. She locked her knees to keep the ache in check. As if sensing her state, he cupped her breast and his thumb circled the taut nipple through her shirt.
She couldn’t stop the moan of pleasure from easing between her lips.
“I plan on doing a lot of that while we’re here,’ he whispered.
With great effort, she wrenched from his arms and stared at his reflection in the glass. Was she so easy that a few caresses and some kisses could muddle her brain? This man ruined a case for the greater good, nearly destroyed her career, not to mention wedged a nice little chink in their relationship. Michaela couldn’t let her traitorous body dictate to her heart, no matter how wanton he made her feel.
She drifted her gaze over him. He was rugged, all sharp edges and rough planes. Sandpaper would only refine and hone his persona. He needed someone soft yet strong enough to withstand his arrogance. Why she ever thought she could maintain a relationship with the man and remain unscathed spoke more to her belief in love and romance rather than the logic of them as a couple. What a fool she was.
Still, the man was absolutely gorgeous. Average height, but she loved to run her fingers over his taut, chiseled muscles.  This time her pulse leapt in response. No use in thinking like that. There was no way she was going to let him get that close again, at least not for a long while. She scanned the room. Logs for the fire were piled next to the hearth, the kitchen was well stocked and when they arrived, Logan hadn’t brought anything into the cabin other than their bags. That meant...

Character Interview-LT. Colin Beck of Second Chance

What’s your favorite color?
I can tell you what my least favorite color is. Dessert brown BDU’s Battle dress uniform. Course Air Force just changed their name to ABU’s for battle and home.
What type of vehicle do you drive? Dodge Ram Quad cab.
Describe yourself to me. Ahhh. Loyal, dependable, honorable…Hell, this is making me sound like a dam dog. My best friend would tell you I’m stubborn to a fault. My teammates would there is no on they’d rather have at their side. No, that’s not ego, it is what it is. We have to be good at what we do or we don’t make it home. My fiancĂ©e, well, she’d probably tell you I’m stubborn too, but she has this knack for making come around to her point of view. She’s usually right.

How would your mate describe you?
Like I said. Her first words would be stubborn. Heck, you should be asking her this question. Knowing my Em, she’d tell you I have a big heart. She’s always telling people that. The last interview we did she said I had a great ass, I KNOW she’d tell you I’m a hell of a lover.
What really moves you, or touches you to the soul? My daughter and Emily. If it wasn’t for my daughter, I know for a fact I wouldn’t have survived my first wife’s death. She died in childbirth and it took me a long time to get past the fact that I was off on a mission and not there. If not for my daughter, well…

What's the one thing you have always wanted to do but couldn't? What would happen if you did do it? I’ve done a lot of things, especially being in the military. I’ve saved lives and unfortunately had to take a life or two. I’ve traveled the world over. I’ve made countless friends, bonds that will never be broken. I think the only thing I’ve ever missed out on is the birth of my child. If and when Emily ever gives birth, I WILL be there this time, and I’ll probably bawl like a baby.

Describe your ideal mate.
That would be Emily. Beyond her outward beauty she has an amazing soul. She opened her heart to a baby that wasn’t hers, she fought for my stubborn ass. She’ll sit and listen to me for hours or just lay quietly by my side when I can’t talk about the horrors I’ve seen. She’s always there for me and is never afraid to tell me when I’m wrong. She fierce that woman.
What are you most afraid of? Losing the ones I love and being able to do nothing about it. I lived through it once. I don’t think I can do it again.

What's the most important thing in your life?
My family is first, my commitment to the military is second. I believe in our way of life, our freedoms and I will fight to my dying breath to protect them.

What do you consider your special talent?
Where do I begin? Nah, I’m not even going to go the military route, there are too many to mention and some might be classified. I’d have to refer you to Emily. Ask her someday what my special talent is. Bet her face will turn all kinds of shades of red.

How did you meet the Emily?
She was my first wife’s sister. She actually introduced Tabitha and me. We’d be friends for years.

Was it love at first sight or did it develop slowly?
Definitely slowly. For years Emily was a good friend and my sister-in-law. After my wife died she gave up everything to come take care of Isabelle. It wasn’t until a year after that when my feelings started to change. Even then I fought it for another year. But I love her with my whole heart and soul now.

If you were granted three wishes, what would you ask for?
Much as I love what I do, I’d use all three wishes on one if its do the trick. The end of all the damn wars. Bringing our men and woman home, safe. Our talents could be put to use here in the US and around the world in areas of natural disasters. The fighting needs to end.

Lieutenant Colin Beckett, US Air Force special ops, lost his wife in childbirth while off on a mission. Two years later, he’s still trying to come to grips with the guilt that tortures him. And to complicate matters, he finds himself undeniably attracted to his wife's sister, Emily. Struggling with his desire, he tells himself he doesn’t deserve a second chance with such an amazing woman.

Emily wants Colin in her life and her bed. Enlisting the help of Colin's teammate's and Madame Eve's 1 Night Stand dating service, she plans to prove to Colin he can have everything he lost once again.
Will their one night lead to the happy ending she longs for or the loneliness he thinks he deserves?
Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of two Debbie and her mother moved to New Jersey, spending many happy years on her grandparents' horse farm. You'll sometimes find this setting as a backdrop in her work.
As a teenager, she and her mother found a new home in Vermont, where she currently resides. With a daughter in the Air Force,  one son in college and the other working for the family business,  Debbie now shuffles her time between a husband and full time job as a nurse, and writing.
About seven years ago, while looking at over three hundred treasured books lining her shelves, she realized there was a multitude of stories of her own clamoring for release. Since then, she's seriously persevered in keeping the keyboard in constant motion.
With two novels, Mountain's Echo and Infidelity, and two novellas, November Rain and Second Chance now published, Debbie is now also working with a partner, L.J. Garland. Together the two have written Sins of the Mind and are hard at work on many more manuscripts.
Debbie has been a member of KOD, FTHRW, ELEMENTS and RWA Online.
EXCERPT:
Colin took a step back and cringed. “Aw, shit, Bobby. What’ve you done?”
Bobby punched Zeke in the shoulder and shook his head. “Nothing bad. Actually, it’s so simple you’re gonna kick your ass for not thinking of it first, Ghost.”
He doubted it. More than likely he would kick Bobby’s ass. The man worked overtime to hook him up, like he was a damn charity case. If he wanted to get laid, he could go find his own. Unfortunately, the only woman that spurred his senses in the last year had been Emily. He wanted her so bad he caught himself thinking about her during the day and woke up sweat-soaked and hard at night from dreaming about her.
Shit! Maybe he did need to get laid. “I repeat, what have you done?”
Zeke jumped up. “See, there’s this woman named Madame Eve––”
Colin threw his hands up. “Whoa, whoa, whoa! This is low even for you. I don’t need a freaking prostitute. Damn, Bobby. What the hell are you thinking?”
Bobby laughed. “Not that kind of madame. She runs an elite dating service and sets up one-night stands for consenting adults. It’s a no-strings-attached kind of thing. Just two like-minded adults looking for a night of pleasure. That’s it. You both go in with your eyes open and leave the next more feeling a lot less stressed.”
Colin crossed his arms over his chest and lifted a brow, “And how does she go about finding these people and matching them up?”
“Don’t worry I’ve checked it all out. You go on her website, fill out the application. Then she matches you up with someone who meets your needs. She names the date and place and the rest is on you. It’s all legit.”
“You sound like an infomercial.” Colin shook his head. “This is fucking crazy, ya know. I have no trouble finding my own women.”
“Never said you did, Lieutenant,” Zeke said. “But this way you don’t have to troll the bars, hoping to find a woman who wants to get her rocks off exactly like you. We know that’s not your scene, but this way everyone gets what they want and walks away happy.”
Bobby glared at Zeke. “Where the hell do you come from anyway?” He returned his gaze to Colin. “More like a night of mutual pleasure.”
“I have my own ways of relieving stress.”
Bobby snorted. “Uh, yeah. I’m not talking about whacking off in the shower, dude.”
Colin rubbed his hands over his face. Good God, had he really been reduced to this? "Fine."

Meet Leea from The Ketchikan Man by Ciara Lake

I'm very pleased to have Leea from The Ketchikan Man. Also I enjoyed the story and was pleasantly surprised with the plot twist. Leea was gracious enough to sit down and answer a few of my questions so  here we go.
What prompted you to answer the ad?
I answered the ad on a whim.  My grandmother had recently passed away I was all alone.  I just lost my job with the State of Oklahoma. I was feeling lonely and depressed.  When my friend showed me the ad, I laughed; but put it in my purse to look at later.  When I was home, alone I pulled it out and looked it over.  Lucan on paper was very interesting. Plus, Alaska seemed very exotic.  I decided I could email him without any risks.  After all, there would be no harm.  He’d never really know who I was.  I could say anything, be anyone.  I was safe at this distance.  I could escape my shyness and be the siren I had locked up inside.  So, I made up an email account to talk to him, initially keeping my identity secret.  I sent him a hello.  I was very charming.  I tried my hardest to be.  I had it inside me and let it all out.
To my surprise, he answered me right away.   When I saw his email, excitement went through me, thrilling me so much.  For only a second I hesitated, and then answered.  I was so comfortable talking to someone so far away who really did not know me.  I could be free to say anything I wanted.  Then the conversation turned to being flirtatious.  I could tell him my deepest thoughts, desire with no consequences.  That is the beauty of internet relationship.  I could not wait to hear from him.
After a while, he convinced me to give him my phone number and we started texting then finally talking.  Lucan was so easy going and sweet, I loosened up more allowing my wild side to blossom.  He encouraged it.  I said anything and everything to him.  He made me more comfortable.
I got so excited texting him.  I could text things to him, all sorts of things.  It was like a drug.  When I talked to him on the phone I was much more hesitant but still flirted with him.  I even dreamed about him, he was a fantasy. I kept telling myself that he really did not know me.  I could be or say anything.  He’s deep sexy voice made me feel bold sending tingles of desire through me.  I liked him.  I liked him a lot.  He’s easy way, his laugh, and sexy voice made me bold.
When he asked me to go to Alaska, I was stunned and afraid.  But I really wanted to go.  For over a month, I debated going. I was afraid to go meet a stranger.  Was he as good as he seemed?  Was he who he said he was?  Was I? I worried he would see through me, I really was really a shy girl from Oklahoma and not the siren I pretended to be.
Despite warnings from your best friend you still went to Alaska, do you regret that decision?
No, I am so happy I made the leap to go. It was the best decision of my life. I am very lucky.  I was afraid at first, but I did all I could to put my fear aside.  I wanted to change my life, have an adventure.  I wanted to change my luck.  I was desperate to meet the man who I dreamed of nightly.  I wanted to let go of my inhibitions, become the woman he had learned to like.  Be the woman on the internet and text, bold and sexy.  The texting and internet allowed me to free myself.  I convinced myself I could be that woman.
What did you really think of Lucan when you first met him in person?
I was overwhelmed.  He was so handsome and big.  It was so easy to talk to a man from a distance.  But here he was right in front of me, hot and handsome, fully male.  Suddenly I was afraid of failing, letting him down.  I had no idea how to handle of man like Lucan.  I’d only had relationships with boys compared to him.  He was a man.  My shyness came back with full force making me crippled with fear of letting go.  I struggled to push myself.  I was at war with myself.  I did not want to mess up, but my personality struggled to be the woman on the phone.  You have no idea of the freedom texting and the internet gives you, unless you experience it.
Lucan seemed very patient and accommodating at anytime did you think you would lose him if you continued playing hard to get?
Yes I was worried about him getting tired of me.  What game was I playing he would think.  But I was not playing hard to get.  I was simply a prisoner of my personality.  The freedom the texting allowed had vanished when I was with him.  Now, I was the real Leea, not the one I developed over the phone.  That was the problem.  The comfort level of being far away and not face-to-face was gone.  Suddenly here he was, all man and gorgeous.  Thank goodness, he understood and truly liked me.  He gave me time to warm up and allow my feelings to open me up.
How are things now?
Wonderful, we are so much in love.  I lost all my shyness and now I am the woman on the phone.  I can be myself and I know he loves me.  I can be bold and free with him.  I understand him and his special secret and he understands me.  We are meant for each other.
Anything else you’d like to add?
Be careful with internet love relationships or texting a stranger.  It is taking a chance but it may not turn out wonderful like ours did.  Remember people can fool you.  You can fool yourself too.  There is a certain freedom of these kinds of relationships and there is the ability for people to trick you too in a negative way.  So be careful!  I hope you find love like me!
Leea, a young woman from Oklahoma engages in a heated sexting relationship with a man from Alaska. Lucan, on a hunt for his mate, advertised for a mail order bride. Leea aware of the risks, is still drawn to the Ketchikan man and his nightly naughty texts. Leea’s believes she’s behaved shockingly via text, now she’s embarrassed by the explicitness she shared with this virtual stranger. When she arrives in Alaska, she encounters an absolutely gorgeous male. Overwhelmed, she’s suddenly inhibited by timidity. However, Lucan is patient and determined to reveal Leea’s inner siren. His unique instincts tell him that she's his.

Lucan is a local artist, a talented man. He’s part Native American with an extra component in his genes.  Unknown to Leea, his honored ancestor passed a special gift to him.

Will Leea and Lucan’s passion survive the wilds of Alaska?

Reading and writing is a wonderful diversion from an often-difficult world. I love to create my own stories and have control over how things will end. It's exciting to create brand new worlds and characters. My imagination can come alive.
In sci-fi and paranormal stories, I can invent wonderful places and people. Anything is possible in these genres and that's limitless. I'm able to create an escape into a special world filled with unique and fantastic things and there is always a happy ending.
A high school teacher inspired me to write. However, instead of initially pursuing my writing career I became a lawyer. I work in divorce court, so romance is a great escape. There can be true love and happy-endings, at least on my pages.
My two children and I have two good-humored dogs that share our home and ease our stress. I have traveled and lived all over the world and these experiences have given me great creative ideas. I look forward to creating many more adventures in romance.

Meet Shelton

Thank you, Lynn, for having me here today. Hello, everyone! My name is Shelton (Shelton in Love, Shelton’s Promise, Shelton’s Choice) and Lynn’s been kind enough to let me tell you a little about myself. Despite warnings, I went ahead and fell in love with my best friend and roommate, Nevil.
In Shelton in Love, I’m already hopelessly in love with Nevil but my happily ever after is still achingly out of reach. The story is about my struggle to win Nevil’s elusive heart and not break my own in the process.
In Shelton’s Promise, I’ve been with Nevil for six months and am more than ready to commit to our relationship for the rest of my life. But is Nevil ready? The man can’t seem to help himself when it comes to flirtations with other men. It takes a near tragedy to get Nevil to see how important I am to him.
Our love comes to a header in Shelton’s Choice. I have to move to another state to take the promotion I’ve been working for, but can our love survive the separation and sense of betrayal such a move entails? We’ll see.
But in the meantime, let me answer Lynn’s questions.
What makes you happy now?
I’ll be moving to Colorado soon, so the thing that makes me happiest now is waking up in the morning with Nevil’s warm body snuggled next to me. I’m afraid there will be some pretty lonely nights ahead, so I savor every minute I have with him. After that, it doesn’t take much to make me happy. Meeting friends for coffee. Watching the sun set with Nevil. I also like when Nevil tucks a note in my lunch inviting me out for the evening. That always brings a smile to my lips.
What is your greatest fear?
That Nevil tires of a long distance relationship and replaces me with someone closer to home and bed. He swears he never would, but loneliness might change his mind. God, I wish I had never taken that job…
What would you change about yourself if you could?
I wish I had Nevil’s confidence! I do all right, but once in awhile my insecurities get the better of me. Usually over a man I see Nevil paying some attention to. I could probably stand to be a little more aggressive at work as well, but I got this promotion by doing that. Maybe it’s not such a good thing after all.
What’s your favorite color?
I could be mushy and tell you it’s the aquamarine of Nevil’s eyes. But the candy apple red on a vintage mustang is pretty sweet.
What type of vehicle do you drive?
I know I mentioned a mustang above, but I actually don’t drive at all. Sure, I have a license and know how to drive, but for the most part I take the light rail train to work and Nevil drives us everywhere else in the Prius.
Describe yourself to me.
Let’s see… I’m just under six feet tall. Stocky, though Nevil says I’m deliciously husky. Curly chestnut hair, hazel eyes. I’ve got a decent job. Great friends. I do some part-time modeling. I like adventure movies and some romances, though I’d rather read a book. No horror or even ghost stories. I can never sleep afterwards. Yea, that’s about it.
How would the hero/ine describe you?
Excuse my blush. That’s something you’ll have to ask Nevil. I think he sees a lot more in me than is really there.
What really moves you, or touches you to the soul?
I ride the train around the city a lot. It’s the little everyday kindnesses I see people do for total strangers that really gets to me. Even if it’s just picking up someone’s dropped package or opening a door for someone having trouble with it. There are a lot of nice people in the world and I feel lucky to be a witness to it.
If you were granted three wishes, what would you ask for?
1. I have to be selfish with this one and hope Nevil is happy with me in Colorado.
2. That everyone is safe with full bellies and warm beds this holiday season.
3. That the New Year be as full of love and joy as the one just past.
What three things would you take to a Desert Island?
I’m assuming there will be food and a place to stay and water to drink. So, number one would be Nevil. Bet you saw that one coming! Number two, a stack of all the books I’ve ever wanted to read but never had the time for. And number three, tanning oil, SPF 30, to rub into Nevil’s sleek skin for that all-over tan.
Shelton’s Choice
After a year of bliss with Nevil, Shelton is offered the promotion he's been working toward at the bank. Unfortunately the new position is in another state, and Nevil doesn't want to move. As tension mounts between them, Shelton is given another challenge in the form of a besotted coworker. Torn between the pressures at work and at home, Shelton has to choose his future. That is, until Nevil takes the decision out of his hands.

Excerpt:
Shelton hurried after him as Nevil wove his way through the boisterous lunch crowd to the front entrance. His heart fluttered when Nevil opened the door of the car for him and kissed his cheek as he climbed into the Prius at the curb. Nevil rarely displayed his affection in public, a sure sign he felt as aroused as Shelton did. He remained silent as Nevil drove through the afternoon traffic, his body tingling in anticipation of their lovemaking.
"What about this blindfold?" he asked, becoming slightly breathless at the thought. Nevil could be so creative.
"That's for later, my dear, when I have you alone and enthralled."
Shelton snorted and enjoyed Nevil's easy laughter. Grateful to be Nevil's friend as well as his lover, Shelton's spirits soared. His days were filled with laughter and comradeship. He thrust Ted's stinging reminder from his mind. He'd keep that discussion for another day and take this precious time with Nevil.
He sat up in the bucket seat as Nevil skirted the city and took one of the smaller highways toward the mountains. "Where are we going?"
"You'll see. We put the last nail in Bill Stanton's place this morning, two weeks ahead of schedule, and Barker gave us the weekend off, with a bonus." Nevil patted his pocket.
"It's only Thursday."
Nevil waved it off. "I'm sure you'll come down with a cold or something by morning. Live a little, Shelton! The bank won't fall apart without you tomorrow. I want to celebrate."
Shelton leaned back in his seat. Who was he to argue, especially when Nevil's gaze raked over him with the promise of passion in his beautiful eyes? The highway ascended steadily up into the mountains, and Nevil turned off along a narrow road, then onto a private driveway. Shelton whistled appreciatively when they pulled up to a modern glass-and-redwood-sided bungalow snug against the lake.
"It's beautiful," he said in admiration, recalling the blueprints for the house on Nevil's desk last winter.
"The Gordans haven't moved in yet and lent it to me for the weekend."
"But why?"
Nevil turned off the engine and moved closer to Shelton. "I told them it was my first-year anniversary with the man I love."
Shelton reached out and cupped the back of Nevil's head, pulling him closer for a kiss. So delicious. He never tired of the taste of this man in his arms. Nevil pressed against him, and the heat of his body ignited Shelton, the scent of Nevil's skin filling him with the longing to run his tongue over every inch of Nevil's body.
Nevil groaned low in his throat and slowly pulled away from him. "Let's go inside," he said unsteadily.
"Absolutely."
Nevil squeezed his hand as they left the car and climbed onto the wide porch surrounding the house. Shelton’s heart pounded with excitement as Nevil fished the keys from a pocket and opened the door. He waved Shelton in and barely let the door close behind them before pulling Shelton tight against his body.
The dark head bent to him. "I love you," Nevil told him and captured Shelton's lips before Shelton could reply.
