Romance with Tara Newlands

I’ve always been a fan of the book ‘Jane Erye’.  The timeless classic of love, class and subtle interaction between man and woman is what drew me to writing romance in the first place.  So, it's with excitement after writing full time since 2006 that I’ve finally booked my first romance writer’s conference in a very English Heritage manor house for the United Kingdom’s first romance writing conference, Festival of Romance.

The flagship event will be featuring several well-known romance authors such as Carole Matthews with editor representation from Mills and Boon, Harlaquin’s parent company in England.  I am really looking forward to the chance to meet the staff of several popular English publishers such as Xcite Books plus attending the Festival’s Heart Ball where I’m planning on get my dance shy hubby to take me for a few spins on the dance floor.

I’ll be participating in a wonderful paranormal romance panel that weekend with two other great authors Lynne Connolly and Hywela Lyn, we’ll be discussing our love the pairing between things that go bump in the night and romance.

I’ve always believed that my journey to becoming a published romance author was due to faith of others and teamwork, which is why I’m looking forward to helping out at the weekend’s Aspiring authors' clinic where readers will get a chance to ask those burning questions on entering the publishing business.

The Festival of Romance weekend promises to be a fun, exciting and most of all enlightening event where readers can meet publishing professionals and authors that share their love of uplifting power of romantic love.

I'm so happy to have another Whispers Author visiting with me today. Help yourself to the buffet and open bar. I'm sure I can have the kitchen prepare a traditional tea. I have a weakness for chocolate chip scones.

You sound alot like me when it comes to writing and wanting to help others achieve their dream. What was the one question you asked before you received your first contract?

Tara, congratulations on the release of your book. I love the blurb.

I'm not going to the FoR but I hope you will share the event with us via updates.

W.Lynn, thanks for sharing this.

Cheers,
Kiru
