Meet Gem Sivad

1-Tell the readers a little about yourself.
First things first, Lynn—thanks so much for inviting me here today.
Hmmm. You want to know me? Sheesh, that’s one of the hardest things for me to do in an interview. Okay, here goes.  I have hermit tendencies and live in a country setting populated by wild turkeys, deer, hawks and a bear or two. I love it.
For fun, I grab a book (or wip) and dive into an adventure, visiting wild and rugged places. If you’ve seen me on twitter, Face Book or a romance loop, it was probably a quick glimpse only. I lurk, say “hello” to the few peeps I know, read the daily updates from others, enjoy from a distance, and remain silent for the most part.
2-As an author, do you take time to read? If so, what do you like to read and who is/are your favorite author/s?
Yes, I’m a book addict. I don’t know many authors who aren’t voracious readers—none in fact. I’m the same. When I fall in love with an author’s voice I read every title they publish. Sarah McCarty, Linda Howard, Maya Banks, Beth Williamson, Jim Butcher, Ilona Andrews and Patricia Briggs are favorites of mine right now.
3-How do you stay motivated when the Muse is uncooperative?
I always have several wips going in different stages. If I get stalled in one wip, I let the issue percolate in my brain while I edit or tweak another project.
4-If you could go anywhere in the world on a romantic getaway, what would you do and where would you go?
Anywhere with my husband on a beach.
5-What is the hardest thing for you to write?
I have a terrible time writing anything shorter than 40k words. I like to detail my characters and plot to such an extent, I tend to write looooong.
6-If you could live the life of one of your characters who would you be?
Miracle Beauregard—my heroine in Trouble in Disguise (2012 Ellora’s Cave release). She’s a take-charge sweetie who hides her feminine attributes in order to make a living as a bounty hunter.  Orphaned and alone since she was ten, Mari’s adept with shotgun, whip and knife and travels with her wolf, Ketchum.  But revealing her secrets to Deacon McCallister is the scariest thing she’s ever attempted in her life.
7-The tag line on my blog is ‘Indulge Your Inner Romantic.’ What do you do to indulge?
Sit on the deck at night with hubs, cuddle in a chaise lounge and enjoy life.

Blurb:
Lucy and Ambrose Quince share fiery passion in and out of bed; they love hard but fight often, both having opinions and tempers. But Lucy mysteriously disappears in 1874, leaving the Double-Q ranch and all she loves behind. Three years later, scarred in mind and body, Lucy is drawn back to Eclipse and the life she’s forgotten—including a snarling, lustful husband.
Although she claims she can’t remember him, Ambrose hasn’t forgotten a damned thing. Lucy left him and he owes her nothing. Trouble is—his heart remembers too, and Lucy’s the only woman who’ll ever own it.

Hi Gem. Thanks so much for being here today. Help yourself to the buffet. Lots of good nibbles on the buffet table and Tyrell, the bartender has whipped up a pretty nifty drink.

I love the blurb and Perfect Strangers is going on my wishlist.

Sounds fun. I love memory blocks in love affairs.

Ladies, thanks for the visits and the interview, Lynn. I've indulged a lot on this site. It's beautiful.

Mariene, writing Lucy's story was intriguing, trying to put myself in her place and think about how memory loss would effect my life. *BG* Hubs was a sounding board for this one.
