Hero Inspiring Hunks

Thank you for hosting me as part of my blog tour!

In Beneath the Starry Sky, Josh Duhamel inspired the hero, Josh Summers. While they are both models turned actors, Josh Summers has a secret that his inspiration does not.

In another of my 1Night Stand releases, Celestial Seduction, not only is David Boreanaz inspiration for Frey Berger, but the male cover model resembles him. (At least, I think so.)

Now, in the novel I have releasing later this year, The Zurian Child, there are two heroes. Justin Hartley is inspiration for Quinn Montgomery, and Tom Welling for Bryce Beuermann. (I watched a lot of Smallville.)

And now to my favorite hunk who is inspiration for the hero in my current work-in-progress—along with some other stories—Nathan Fillion. He’s a space cowboy and a writer (and in my story, a military firefighter.)

So what hunks do you think are worthy of being heroes in romance stories?

Hmm... yummy men... You didn't have to say more to get me to come over! :)

I totally indulged my celeb crushes on Josh Holloway and Jared Padalecki in 2011. German actor Thomas Kretschmann also made it into my lineup.

In 2012, I'm *ahem - cough, cough* looking to get better acquainted with Alexander Skarsgard, Norman Reedus (the Judas of the eponymous Lady Gaga video), British model David Gandy, and wrestler Triple H.

Uhm, imo, a good lineup... Now to make sure my husband doesn't fall on this comment...

*grin* Loved the post! Great job, both of you. :)

XOXO

I'm totally on board with your choice of hunky hero inspirations! I would have to add Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, and, Jason Statham.

Hi Jessica, I hope the guys have been taking care of you until I arrived. Chef has prepared a grand buffet in your honor I hope you enjoy the nibbles and sweets. Tyrell, my bartender has prepared a special drink, Hero Worship.

In the meantime I think my perfect hero for a romance would be John Barrowman. There's just something about his dark hair and blue eyes I find compelling.

So many men to choose from! I can't write a story without having a cast. Some of my recent choices for heroes were: Matt Damon, Paul Walker, Jeremy Sisto, Peter Wingfield, Jared Padaleck & Jensen Ackles.

Some of my villain inspirations have been Richard Armitage, Coby Bell and Rob Estes. I find that having a hot villain helps me to get into the villain's head better because I WANT to know why they are the way they are.

@W. Lynn Chantale - Yes, they have taken great care of me. Thank you! :)

And Wow! I now have so much more inspiration for my heroes. I'm making a list from everyone's comments. LOL

I love your picks.Especially Justin Hartley :)

A couple I think would make great heroes are Ian Somerhalder,Jensen Ackles and Shemar Moore

@elaing8 - Oh, yes, I would agree. I tried to limit to the top 5 that I've used. LOL Shemar Moore is who I based a character on in The Zurian Child. He's friends with both of the heroes from the story.

Was there writing in this blog post? My brain shut off after the picture of Josh Duhamel. Sorry.

Love the pics, but don't know a lot of them. :) My hunks run more toward the Viggo Mortensen, Sean Connery school, though Chris Pine is yummy! LOL (Must behave)*sigh*

Jessica E. Subject said...

LOL Heather! Yes, him and David wet is kind of distracting. :)

Oh, Jenna, Chris Pine is definitely missing from this list. He stars in another one of my WIPs. :)

Hmm! I'm not sure who to say since I watch mainly British period drama so I'll go with Rupert Penny-Jones, Richard Armitage, and Colin Firth.

Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
