I was going to talk about the flowers my hubby brought home to me. *sigh* Beautiful hot pink roses. While their sweet, heady fragrance competes with that of fried chicken I'm reminded of my mom.
Mom lived in Columbus, OH for several years and I saw her maybe once or twice. So the only way I could show mom I was thinking about her was to send her flowers.
I scoured the Internet and found a florist in her area and sent her, her favorite flowers, yellow roses. And if I sent them before or after Valentine's Day, shipping was free. Free shipping meant I could add a couple of balloons, a box of candy and a stuffed animal.
She was the envy of her work place. I sent her flowers every few months to let her know I was thinking about her. I think I need to do that again.
Valentine's Day is a day of love. Even if you don't have a lover this season, show that special someone how much you care.
Me? I'm going to go buy those f*ck me heels, since my honey gave me a gift card. They'll go great with the pink lingerie.
Sorry, I had to have a hottie.

Valentine's Day is not a big holiday in my house. This weekend is the same as any other.
